Important and General Things must to remember for a NIOS student

  1. If you wanna know in detail about NIOS then head to these two links, in which the first one is the official and main website of the NIOS. (NIOS) (NIOS Wikipedia)
  2. Basically, you’ve to take at least 5 subjects and pass in them in order to be eligible for the certification of passing. I suggest you to take 6 subjects, because, for any reason if you fail in any one subject then you still get pass in overall because of passing in 5 subjects. Here’s the link (NIOS Online or Digital Course Material) of all the NIOS subjects online/digital study material page where you can find a list of all the subjects from which you can choose your subjects already. Keep in mind you have to choose at least one language subject.
  3. Also, there’s an Exam form which you must have to fill up along with Exam fees at your study center, otherwise you won’t be able to sit in your Exams. (you must have to be in touch with your study center, and ask and get info when will you have to fill up your Exam form)
  4. I suggest you to study with Text books of NIOS, either hardcopy (which you’ll recieve after confirming you NIOS admission) or digital books in pdf format (which you can download from the above link I’ve mentioned in the previous point. You may also study with the NIOS study Guides if you want to. In case in you wish to, then I suggest you to go with Top NIOS Guides, which you can find nearby main and good educational books store.
  5. After your admission NIOS will allot a study center as per the info you filled in your registration form while registering, and this study center is the place where your Practical Exams happen (if you’ve selected any such subject which has practicals) and also any info you want to know regarding NIOS you can ask from the teachers there. (always go there with your NIOS ID card)
  6. In the NIOS official website there’s a notification area around bottom right, you must check it everyday after confirmation of your admission in order to stay up to date. (NIOS)
That's all!!

All the best!!
